I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
